Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or otherwise using Paycheque ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. What Paycheque is
Paycheque is an invoicing tool for freelancers and independent contractors: creating and sending invoices, managing clients, and generating PDF documents, including GST and export details for India-based users. Paycheque displays payment details (bank account information, UPI IDs) on invoices for your clients' convenience — it does not process, hold, or move money on your behalf. Any actual payment happens directly between you and your client through your own bank or payment provider.
3. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You're responsible for the accuracy of the invoices, client records, and other content you create using the Service.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to defraud anyone, to send or generate invoices for transactions you know to be fraudulent, or to attempt to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data.
5. Fees
Any fees for using the Service, if applicable, will be clearly presented to you before you're charged. We'll give reasonable notice before introducing or changing pricing for existing users.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, its design, and its underlying software belong to us. You retain full ownership of the content you create with it — your business information, client records, and invoices remain yours.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose, including tax or legal compliance — you're responsible for verifying the accuracy of any GST, tax, or export information generated through the Service before relying on it.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including lost revenue or lost data.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings → Account & Security, which permanently removes your business profile, clients, invoices, and payment details. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
